Can I Repair Windows 7 With Windows 10

Pitiful for the late respond, but I frankly constitute your response demoralizing. I spent several weeks googling, reading, and making various attempts to go this working. I've seen and worked through all the links in your post. The get-go i fifty-fifty recommends using EasyBCD, which as I said in my original post is what screwed up my estimator in the first place (it doesn't support UEFI). It's too for repairing MBR, whereas I'yard booting off a GPT disk. For that it recommends ownership a $40 commercial software package (Easy Recovery Essentials) fabricated by the same company that makes EasyBCD, which I have proficient reason to no longer trust.

I was hoping in that location was someone hither who really *knows* this stuff and could requite me specific instructions. For starters, is it even technically possible to boot Windows Boot Director via UEFI then apply that bill of fare to kicking Windows vii off a MBR volume?

I'd happily pay someone to do it, but I've called around and tin't discover anybody that understands this stuff.

How-do-you-do,

The reason you are having problems is because you cannot dual-boot on a EFI / GPT organisation.

The organisation must be a LEGACY BIOS / MBR system equally the EFI / GPT system has extra security to forestall the 2nd Os being setup and used.

How I know is because I tried to do it too.

I hope that this helps you get your PC up and running every bit a dual-boot.

Kind regards,

Mark
